Following along the track to Milford Sound, we found this cool spot.
It’s nothing special in and of itself. But the fact that we were hours away from any civilisation meant that the atmosphere was something out of the ordinary.
People were quiet and just walked around slowly and carefully, taking in all of it. The green and yellow colours mixed with the blue and white water. The smell of pure nature. The sound of water running, the slight wind through the trees, and the birds’ songs.
And then, we had to move on.
