Continuing on my study trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Finally, after a long day of hiking in the mountains and valleys, crossing two rivers, and snacking on delicious Bosnian desserts on the way, we arrived at the most remote village in Bosnia.
Bosnia is not a rich country by any means, but at least in the cities, people have enough money to have a decent standard of living. Out here in rural Bosnia, people have other priorities than modern materialism.
They live in tightly knotted groups and families, and seem much more happy, even though they don’t have any of our modern society technology and standards.
I admire the fact that they have all opportunities to leave the village behind and settle in the city, but they value their families and traditions more.
